On November 8, Chinese Ambassador to PNG, H.E. Yang Xiaoguang paid an official call on Speaker of PNG National Parliament Hon. Job Pomat.
Ambassador Yang reviewed the achievements of China-PNG relations in recent years, introduced the significance of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He said that exchanges between legislatures are an important part of China-PNG relations. China will continue to uphold the “four full respects” policy for PICs put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping when forging ties with PNG. China will keep sharing the development opportunities of Chinese modernization with PNG, strengthen the exchanges between the two countries’ legislatures, and expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, to further deepen China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership.
Speaker Pomat thanked China for its long-term support for PNG’s economic and social development. He said that PNG attaches great importance to cooperation with China and firmly adheres to the one-China policy. The PNG National Parliament hopes to further develop exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side to move forward the relationship between the two countries.
