The Malaysian side declared on August 6 that aircraft debris found on Reunion Island on July 29 is indeed from MH370, a result that reaffirms the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 an accident.

The Chinese government grieves and mourns for the tragedy of all those on board including the Chinese passengers, extending deep sympathies and sincere condolences to their families.

We urge the Malaysian side to honor relevant commitment, continue to investigate the reason of the accident, spare no effort to handle follow-up matters, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the families of all the passengers.
