2017-11-30 10:30

On the morning of November 30, 2017 local time, at the invitation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, Premier Li Keqiang arrived at Sochi International Airport by special plane to attend the 16th meeting of the Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) held in Sochi.

Senior officials of the Russian government, H.E. Li Hui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia and others greeted Li Keqiang at the airport.

Li Keqiang expressed that since its founding 16 years ago, the SCO has become an important platform for maintaining regional security and stability and for promoting common development and prosperity. I look forward to meeting all sides in Sochi, the pearl of the Black Sea. After the membership expansion for the first time, we will together review achievements, tap potential, and achieve consistent advancement for cooperation in politics, security, economy, people-to-people and cultural engagement within the member states at the new starting point. I also expect to meet again with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi to inject new impetus into deepening China-Russia relations and coordination within the SCO framework.

During the meeting, Li Keqiang will also jointly sign relevant cooperation documents with other leaders of the SCO member states, hold multiple bilateral meetings and attend relevant people-to-people and cultural events accompanied by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
