On March 2, 2023 local time, Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi. The two sides mainly discussed preparations for the high-level exchanges in the next stage.

Qin Gang said that China expects to further deepen political mutual trust with Brazil, consolidate cooperation in the areas of strengths, and expand cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, green development, digital economy and other emerging sectors, to elevate the China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership to higher levels, jointly send a positive message of major developing countries treating each other as equals and engaging in win-win cooperation, and inject strong impetus into global peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Mauro Vieira said that Brazil attaches great importance to its relations with China. The cooperation between Brazil and China abounds with possibilities and potential, and Brazil looks forward to fostering closer cooperation synergy with China to promote bilateral cooperation to bear more fruits, so as to lay a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
