Speaking of the prospects of China's reform and development, Xi Jinping pointed out that reform is the key to the fate of contemporary China. The third plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) made the top-level design for comprehensively deepening reform, while the recently-concluded fifth plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC further put forward a series of major reform tasks with unprecedented strength and breadth. We will continue to deepen reform in various fields, stick to the basic state policy of opening up, unswervingly pursue the opening strategy of mutual benefit and win-win results, keep drawing development impetus from the world and make China's development better benefit the globe.

Xi Jinping pointed out that the fifth plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC determined that China's economic development must be under the concept of innovation, coordination, green development, environmental protection, openness and sharing. It put forward China's development goals in the 5 years to come, new measures of reducing carbon emission, preserving the environment and building ecological civilization, new tasks of guaranteeing and improving people's livelihood as well as new arrangements of opening up in a deeper and wider manner and actively shouldering international responsibilities and obligations. To achieve the goals proposed in the "13th Five-year Plan", China needs to conduct practical cooperation with countries throughout the world; meanwhile, the implementation of the plan will also bring more development opportunities to the globe. We stand ready to share development opportunities with all other countries and jointly create a bright future.

On building the "Belt and Road", Xi Jinping pointed out that the "Belt and Road" initiatives are open and inclusive and persistent in the principle of consultation, co-construction and sharing. Building the "Belt and Road" can help countries along the route increase demand and employment and contribute to the global economic recovery at large. At present, the building of "Belt and Road" has formed the impetus and boasts bright prospects. China is deeply advancing international cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road", and will work with all other nations to create development opportunities so as to realize mutual benefit and win-win results.

Talking about China's hosting of the G20 Summit in 2016, Xi Jinping pointed out that China will strive to achieve the following goals in order to make the Summit a success: first, all the member nations should reach positive consensus and take concrete steps to address the most prominent problems facing the global economy and promote a long-term and stable growth of the global economy; second, the G20 mechanism should be developed and improved and its status as a main platform of international economic cooperation should be consolidated, so as to establish a more fair, inclusive and efficient global economic governance; third, all parties should handle differences properly with an attitude of mutual understanding and mutual respect, sending out a positive signal of solidarity and coordination among the G20 members.

Former President of Mexico and Chairman of the 21st Century Council Ernesto Zedillo, Chairman of the Berggruen Institute Nicolas Berggruen, former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong of Singapore, former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd of Australia and former Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers of the United States delivered a speech respectively. They expressed that China has become an important force in the international community. The future of the world depends largely on China and the future of China is also closely related to the world's development. China's development exerts positive influence on the world and the international community is very interested in the initiatives of the "Belt and Road", the proposal of building a new model of China-US major country relationship and the like put forward by China. Meanwhile, the world needs to acquire a more accurate understanding of China including its opinions on the international order and major global issues. China's statement of adherence to reform and opening-up is very significant, which is a good news to the world.
