Wang Yi Meets with Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev of Kyrgyzstan

On April 27, 2016, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse with Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev of Kyrgyzstan, who was in China to attend the 5th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Wang Yi expressed that China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors, good friends and strategic partners. China stands ready to actively develop mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields with Kyrgyzstan, increase mutual support, jointly construct the Silk Road Economic Belt, and deepen coordination and cooperation within multilateral frameworks including Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the CICA.

Erlan Abdyldaev expressed that Kyrgyzstan regards China as a priority direction of its diplomacy. Kyrgyzstan-China relations are of long-term, stable and strategic features. The Kyrgyz side sincerely thanks China for its vigorous assistance in the Kyrgyz economic development over the years. Kyrgyzstan fully understands and supports China's just stance on the South China Sea issue, and is willing to continuously deepen cooperation in various fields with China.
