Foreign Leaders Extend Congratulations to Chinese New Leadership

On March 19, 2018, some state leaders sent telegrams and messages to Xi Jinping in succession, warmly congratulating Xi Jinping on his election as President of the People's Republic of China.

President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers Raul Castro Ruz of Cuba expressed that on behalf of the Cuban people, the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuban government, he would like to extend the warmest congratulations to Xi Jinping. Cuba stands ready to continue enhancing Cuba-China relations on the basis of close friendship and political mutual trust between the two countries.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan expressed that Xi Jinping's election fully demonstrates that the Chinese people recognize his remarkable political accomplishments and support his wise leadership. The Afghan side cherishes Afghanistan-China friendship very much and looks forward to, together with China, further deepening bilateral relations and friendly cooperation in various fields.

Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah of Afghanistan expressed that Xi Jinping's election would play an important role in promoting the development of Afghanistan-China relations.

President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines expressed that Xi Jinping's election fully demonstrates the firm confidence of China and the Chinese people in his leading ability and grand vision. The Philippines-China relations have constantly shown fresh vitality and vigor. It is believed that mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries will be further expanded.

President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt expressed that he wished Xi Jinping smooth work and the friendly Chinese people constant progress and development. The Egyptian side highly appreciates the firm Egypt-China relations, and stands ready to continue strengthening and pushing forward bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation to benefit the friendly people of the two countries.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed that on behalf of the Saudi Arabian government and people and in his own name, he would like to extend the warmest congratulations and the sincerest wishes to Xi Jinping. He wishes the friendly Chinese people constant progress and development. He highly appreciates the firm friendship between the two countries and the two peoples, and stands ready to further promote the development of bilateral cooperative relations in various fields.

Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait expressed that Kuwait stands ready to further increase Kuwait-China traditional friendship to bring benefits to both sides. He wishes the firm friendly relations between Kuwait and China could achieve greater development.

President Milos Zeman of the Czech Republic expressed that he believed the future of China would be brighter under the leadership of Xi Jinping. China is one of the most important cooperation partners of the Czech Republic and the strategic partnership between the two countries has constantly brought concrete results. He looks forward to further elevating the level of bilateral strategic partnership with Xi Jinping to benefit the people of the two countries.
