Briefing by the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation

 

On 12th July, the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held a briefing for the African diplomatic envoys based in Beijing. 

Xu Jinghu, newly appointed Secretary General of the Follow-up Committee and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry and Zhou Haibin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Western Asian and African Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce respectively briefed the envoys on Vice President Zeng Qinghong's visit to four African countries, recent economic cooperation and trade between China and Africa and the progress made in zero-tariff treatment for some of the products exported to China from the least developed countries in Africa. 

Over 50 diplomats from more than 40 African missions in China attended the briefing.
