The Minister
His Excellency Wang Yi, Han ethnicity, a native of Beijing, was born in October 1953. He began his first job in September 1969, and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1981. He graduated from an undergraduate program at the Department of Asian and African Languages of Beijing Second Foreign Languages Institute. He holds a Master of Economics degree.
H.E. Wang Yi is currently a Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
