On June 5, 2018, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Guo Shaochun and Assistant Secretary and Director of the Office of Consular Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs Frank R. Cimafranca of the Philippines held the 7th round of China-Philippines consular consultation in Beijing. Both sides mainly exchanged in-depth views on promoting the development of bilateral consular relations, conducting bilateral tourism cooperation, facilitating personnel exchanges, protecting security and legitimate rights and interests of citizens as well as other topics.
