From November 20 to 22, 2018, the 12th Annual Exchanges for Hong Kong-related Consular Work and the 10th Annual Exchanges for Macao-related Consular Work were held in Hong Kong and Macao respectively. Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Guo Shaochun led a delegation for exchanges with a working group comprised of the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and other departments in Hong Kong, as well as with a working group composed of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Identification Department and other departments in Macao. They exchanged in-depth and practical views on issues such as Hong Kong-related and Macao-related consular protection, work relevant to visa to Hong Kong and Macao, travel facilitation for HKSAR and Macao SAR residents as well as exchanges and training on consular work in the year of 2018, and reached consensus on further well conducting the Hong Kong-related and Macao-related consular work.
