On the morning of November 20, 2010, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi attended the 2010 Seminar on International Situation co-hosted by China Institute of International Studies and China Foundation for International Studies and made a report entitled The Evolution of the Current International Situation and China's Diplomatic Work. He made detailed elaborations on how to understand changes in the international situation in the post-crisis era and comprehensive introduction about China's diplomatic work in the 11th five-year plan period, general idea of diplomacy during the 12th five-year plan period and current diplomatic work. He hopes the participants combine international studies with diplomatic needs more closely, enrich the diplomatic theory with Chinese characteristics, give full play to their unique advantages to carry out public diplomacy and serve China's overall diplomacy actively.
