On July 23, 2013, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Pitono Purnomo, Head of Policy Analysis and Development Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. They exchanged views on bilateral relations.

Wang Yi said that China and Indonesia are both important countries in Asia-Pacific region. The bilateral relationship is enriched with strategic contents. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN strategic partnership. China and Indonesia should join hands to push forward China-ASEAN relations. China is willing to work together with ASEAN to build a community of common destiny, a community of common interests and a community of common responsibilities and to strive for the national and regional prosperity and stability.

Purnomo said that Indonesia is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China on regional and global affairs, and join the efforts to push forward the bilateral relations and ASEAN-China relations for continuous progress.
