On November 1, 2023, Miao Deyu, Director-General of the Department of Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, held foreign policy planning consultation with Salman Ahmed, Director of the U.S. Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff, in Vienna. The two sides had exchanges of views on international and regional situation, respective domestic and foreign policies, and other issues of mutual interest and concern.
