On August 31, 2021, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao met with Cambodian Ambassador to China Khek Caimealy Sysoda at the latter's request.

Ambassador Sysoda, on behalf of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, expressed deep sympathy to China over the torrential rain and floods in Henan Province and handed over the donation from the King and Queen Mother to the disaster-hit area.

Wu Jianghao said, King Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineath donated generously to China many times when China was hit by natural disasters, and their donation to Henan Province for its torrential rain and floods again shows the deep friendship of the Cambodian royal family with the Chinese people. China deeply appreciates the donation and will make good use of it.
