On April 15, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevheniy Yenin held video consultations between the two ministries.

The two sides reviewed the main outcomes achieved in bilateral cooperation in various fields in the past ten years since the establishment of China-Ukraine strategic partnership, and exchanged views on bilateral relations, anti-pandemic cooperation, Belt and Road cooperation and international and regional issues of common concern. Both sides said joint efforts will be made to overcome the negative impact of COVID-19, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and build a solid foundation for further high-level development of bilateral relations in the next decade.
