On November 23, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with outgoing Surinamese Ambassador to China Lloyd Lucien Pinas. Qin Gang appreciated Lloyd Lucien Pinas's work during his tenure as Ambassador to China and Head of the Mission of Latin America and Caribbean Countries to China, and hoped that he could continue making contributions to promoting China-Surinam and China-Latin America friendly cooperation after leaving his post. Lloyd Lucien Pinas thanked China for providing convenience and assistance for his fulfillment of duties in his term of office, and expressed that he will continue caring for and supporting the development of China-Surinam and China-Latin America relations.
