Ambassador Lu Kang Presents The Copy of the Letter of Credence

On 25 February 2022, Lu Kang, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia, presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to Ambassador Andy, Director-General for Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Lu said it was a great honor to serve as the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia at an important historical juncture, and thanked the Indonesian Government for the facilitation provided for his arrival and warm and friendly hospitality accorded to him. Ambassador Lu spoke highly of China-Indonesia relations, and said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Joko Widodo, China-Indonesia relationship has witnessed steady and sound development and is now at its best in history. China will continue to work with Indonesia to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two Presidents, promote practical cooperation in all areas so as to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for the benefit of the two peoples, and make contributions to world and regional stability and prosperity.

Director-General Andy, on behalf of the Indonesian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warmly welcomed Ambassador Lu Kang and spoke positively of the good momentum of Indonesia-China relations in recent years. He believed that Ambassador Lu will commit to take bilateral relations to new heights during his tenure in Jakarta. The Indonesian side will provide facilitation and assistance for Ambassador Lu to perform his duties.
