Chinese Ambassador to Nambia Zhao Weiping Pays Courtesy Call on Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia

On April 13, 2023, Ambassador Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on Hon. Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Namibia relations and issues of common interest.

Ambassador Zhao said, China and Namibia enjoys profound traditional friendship and the Chinese side attaches great importance to developing China-Namibia relations through enhancing cooperation in the energy, agriculture, education and other areas. Amb. Zhao stressed that China is ready to continue assisting Namibia’s social and economic development wherever it can and work together with the Namibian side to push constantly for new progress in the bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Kuugongelwa-Amadhila welcomed Ambassador Zhao to Namibia, spoke highly of Namibia-China friendship, and expressed her hope for the two countries to strengthen bilateral practical cooperation so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
