On April 23, Ambassador He Rulong held a press briefing entitled "China, an Opportunity" in the Embassy. Journalists from newspapers Morgunblaðið and Viðskiptablaðið attended the event. Counsellor Dai Ke was present.

In his speech, Ambassador He introduced the continued recovery of the Chinese economy and the development of new quality productive forces in China, highlighting the contribution of China's economic growth to the entire world. He also introduced highlights of the recent development of China-Iceland relations. Ambassador He laid a special emphasis on the irreversible trend of globalization, saying it entails international cooperation.

During the Q&A session, journalists asked questions of interest such as China-Iceland tourism cooperation, bilateral free trade agreement upgrade negotiations, direct flights and others. Ambassador He addressed them respectively.
