On April 8, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with visiting Secretary for Climate, Energy and Environment of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs André Aranha Corrêa do Lago at the latter's request. The two sides had an exchange of views on global climate governance, G20 involvement in climate change issues and bilateral climate cooperation.
