On February 29, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality invited diplomatic envoys in China to watch a special performance played by China Oriental Performance Arts Group, the dance drama "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting", at the China National Opera House. Nearly 700 people attended the event, including senior diplomats from nearly 100 embassies (organizations) in China and their families, including ambassadors from Cameroon, South Africa, Nepal, Türkiye, Lebanon, Greece, Kiribati, Bulgaria and Honduras. Assistant Foreign Minister Hua Chunying delivered welcome remarks.

After the performance, the diplomatic envoys in China had a warm exchange with the dancers, praising their outstanding performance. They lauded the beauty of the dance drama, which shows the unique charm and innovative development of Chinese culture and will help them enhance their understanding of China's history and future.
