From October 16 to 19, 2021, the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized diplomatic envoys of Arab states to  Qinghai Province for exchanges and inspections, and ambassadors, charge  d'affaires and diplomats from 17 Arab states and the League of Arab States  attended the activity, accompanied by Director-General of the Department of West  Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wang Di.

Qinghai Governor Xin Changxing  met with the delegation. Governor Xin Changxing said, China-Arab relations and  cooperation have witnessed vigorous progress in recent years, and both sides  have delivered fruitful results in joint fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic  and steadily advancing practical cooperation. President Xi Jinping noted in his  congratulatory letter to the fifth China-Arab States Expo, China is willing to  work with Arab countries to seek cooperation and development, jointly promote  peace and development, achieve win-win results, and high-quality Belt and Road  cooperation, promote China-Arab strategic partnership to a higher level, and  work together to build a China-Arab community with a shared future in the new  era. As an important part of the Silk Road since ancient times, Qinghai stands  ready to widen its cooperation with Arab states and work hard to deliver more  outcomes. In particular, both sides need to expand practical and win-win  cooperation in jointly building the Belt and Road, establishing sister-city  relations, promoting ecological protection, and developing clean energy.

Arab envoys said, China-Arab  relations have made great progress in recent years, and the fight against  COVID-19 with solidarity further deepens the friendship, and lays a more solid  foundation for practical cooperation. Arab states stand ready to work with China  to achieve new progress in bilateral relations and build a China-Arab states  community with a shared future. Envoys speak highly of Qinghai's great efforts  and fruitful results in protecting the ecological environment, promoting ethnic  unity, and following the new development philosophy. They said, Qinghai sets an  example in ecological protection, and blazes a green and innovative development  path that benefits the people, which is of vital reference for developing  countries, especially Arab states. Arab states are willing to work with Qinghai  to increase exchanges and mutual learning, leverage respective strengths, expand  practical cooperation, and benefit the two peoples.

During the inspection of Xunhua  Salar Autonomous County, the delegation entered local homes and exchanged with  Muslim villagers, and visited Ethnic Unity Exhibition Hall, Folk Culture Park,  and Islamic Institute, witnessing the harmonious coexistence of different ethnic  groups, rural vitalization and fast development, and the fully protected freedom  of religious belief. In Qinghai Lake, and Exhibition Center of Sanjiangyuan  National Park, envoys got a deep understanding of ecological and environmental  protection in Qinghai, and saw the achievements of Qinghai in ecological  progress and green development. In SYG Carpet, they learned about the  inheritance and protection of the intangible cultural heritage Tibetan carpet,  and saw innovative development of local enterprises.
