On June 30, 2022, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui attended the reception marking the Independence Day of Belarus held by the Belarusian Embassy in China upon invitation.

In his remarks, Li Hui congratulated Belarus on its Independence Day, and said that Belarus has continuously made new achievements in various undertakings of national development, with people's living standards being improved constantly. China is sincerely gratified at this. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus. Over the past 30 years, no matter how the international landscape evolved, China and Belarus have always respected and supported each other, pushing for fruitful results in cooperation in various fields. In recent years, President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Lukashenko have had three phone conversations, making important plans and arrangements for the development of China-Belarus relations. China is ready to join hands with Belarus to follow through on the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, step up mutual political support, tap the potential of bilateral cooperation in various fields, and promote greater development of the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership.

In his remarks, Belarusian Ambassador to China Yuri Senko spoke highly of the development of Belarus-China relations and the positive progress made in bilateral cooperation in various fields. He thanked China for providing invaluable support for Belarus's economic and social development, and said that Belarus is ready to make joint efforts with China to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to deepen Belt and Road cooperation, and make Belarus-China relations more beneficial to the two peoples.
