2009-06-24 15:23

On June 24, 2009, China and Japan started their 10th strategic dialogue in Beijing. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya and Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka co-chaired the dialogue. Both sides exchanged views on China-Japan relations as well as major international and regional issues in a candid, in-depth manner and reached broad consensus.

Both sides agreed that the China-Japan relationship was "of special significance" against the backdrop of the global financial crisis and changes in international and regional situations. China and Japan should enhance political mutual trust, improve the sentiments between both peoples and strengthen collaboration in all fields, in a bid to push forward China-Japan strategic and mutually beneficial cooperation.
