On December 1, 2023, the Symposium Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Implementation of the JET Programme of Coordinator for International Relations in China was held in Beijing. Director-General of the Department of Foreign Affairs Management of the Foreign Ministry Chen Li attended the event and delivered remarks.

The JET Programme of Coordinator for International Relations in China is hosted by the Japanese Embassy in China. Since 1992, more than 1,400 Chinese public officers have visited Japan for work exchanges. Since its inception 30 years ago, the Programme has been a brand programme in sub-national friendly exchanges between China and Japan. The Symposium was hosted by the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations in Beijing (CLAIR.BEIJING), co-organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs Management of the Foreign Ministry, and attended by 58 people, including representatives of previous coordinators for international relations visiting Japan and foreign affairs departments of 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Liaoning, and representatives of the Japanese Embassy in China, CLAIR.BEIJING, Japan External Trade Organization in Beijing, and Japan National Tourism Organization in Beijing.
