On March 1, 2023, Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong met with Malaysian Ambassador to China Raja Dato' Nushirwan Zainal Abidin.

Nong Rong said that China and Malaysia are inseparable good neighbors, and the friendly exchanges between the two countries date back centuries. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, and also the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership. China is ready to work with Malaysia to strengthen communication and coordination, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, upgrade and elevate China-Malaysia relations, and deliver more benefits to the peoples of the two countries.

Raja Dato' Nushirwan Zainal Abidin said that Malaysia-China relations are rich in substance and fruitful in outcome. Malaysia attaches great importance to growing relations with China, and is ready to work with China to constantly elevate bilateral cooperation in various fields to new levels.
