Anwar delightedly recalled his successful visit to China in March this year, saying that China is a reliable and good friend of Malaysia and that Malaysia and China enjoy a special and friendly relationship with robust bilateral cooperation. Noting the high importance attached by President Xi Jinping to cooperation between Malaysia and China, Anwar said he is deeply moved by it. The two sides have actively implemented the common understandings between the leaders of the two countries, and made important progress in cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, investment, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and tourism. Chinese enterprises are welcome to expand their investment in Malaysia. Malaysia is ready to work with China to continue deepening cooperation in various fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Wang Yi conveyed Chinese leaders' cordial greetings. Noting that Prime Minister Anwar is an old friend of the Chinese people, Wang Yi said the leaders of the two countries have established solid mutual trust and friendship, charted the course and opened a new chapter for China and Malaysia's joint efforts to build a community with a shared future. Wang Yi said that China and Malaysia are both emerging economies and developing countries with similar development philosophies and extensive common interests. Noting that the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and the construction of the East Coast Rail Link and "Two Countries, Twin Parks" has achieved good economic and social effects, Wang Yi said the two countries enjoy broad prospects for practical cooperation. China is ready to share with Malaysia the opportunities brought by the super-large market, expand cooperation areas, and achieve mutual benefit, win-win results, and common development.
