On August 1, 2023, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Pakistani President Arif Alvi over the suicide bombing in Pakistan.

Xi Jinping said that he was shocked to learn of the suicide bombing in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which has caused serious casualties. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, he expressed deep condolences over the death of the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured.

Xi Jinping stressed that China opposes all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns this attack. China will continue to firmly support Pakistan in advancing its Action to Counter Terrorism, and make joint efforts with Pakistan to safeguard regional and world peace and security.

On the same day, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council sent a message of condolence to Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
