Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Meets with Vietnamese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu

On August 10, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Vietnamese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, who is in China to attend China-Vietnam Diplomatic Consultations.

Ma Zhaoxu said that China and Vietnam are friendly socialist neighbors and a community with a shared future of strategic significance. General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong have jointly drawn a grand blueprint for the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era. China stands ready to work with Vietnam to follow through on important common understandings reached by the leaders of the two parties and countries, and promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Nguyen Minh Vu said that Vietnam considers the development of relations with China as a strategic choice and a top priority of its foreign policy. Vietnam stands ready to work with China to follow through on high-level common understandings, strengthen exchanges, deepen cooperation and push for greater development of the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
