CPPCC Chairman Yu Zhengsheng Meets Respectively with King of Jordan Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein and King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-khalifa

On Sept. 15, 2013, Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met in Yinchuan, Ningxia respectively with King of Jordan Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein and King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-khalifa, who were attending the 2013 China-Arab States Expo.

Yu Zhengsheng extended welcome to the two Kings for attending the Expo. He hopes, through the active support and participation of China and Arab states, to make the Expo an effective platform for enhancing mutual understanding between China and Arab states, for strengthening economic and trade exchanges and cooperation and for promoting common development. The two Kings expressed that they were very glad to attend the Expo and wished it a full success.

When meeting with King Abdullah II, Yu Zhengsheng said that China and Jordan enjoy time-honoured friendship. His Majesty the King has visited China seven times since coming to the throne. It shows the great importance he attaches to developing China-Jordan relations. The current state visit to China is to push for further in-depth development of bilateral relations. China attaches great importance to developing relations with Jordan and is willing to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with Jordan in all fields to benefit both countries and the two peoples.

King Abdullah II expressed that Jordan admires China for the enormous achievements of development. Jordan is willing to learn from China for the experience of development, to fully deepen Jordan-China cooperation in all fields, to leverage the unique role of Jordan in Arab states, so as to push forward bilateral relations as well as Arab-China relations to a new high.

When meeting with King Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-khalifa, Yu Zhengsheng said that the people of China and Bahrain enjoy a profound friendship with steady development of cooperation in all fields. Both sides should further consolidate political mutual trust and promote practical cooperation to unceasingly uplift bilateral relations to a new high. The CPPCC is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with relevant departments of Arab states, to share the experience of success on state governance and national development so as to contribute more to pushing for the development of China-Arab relations.

King Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-khalifa said that the friendship between Bahrain and China enjoys a time-honoured history and practical cooperation is facing favourable opportunities for development. My current state visit to China is aimed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with China in order to push for the unceasing development of bilateral relations.
