President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Zhang Tao was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Iraq, replacing Chen Weiqing.

II. Chen Weiqing was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, replacing Li Huaxin.

III. Qi Mei (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, replacing Chen Guoyou.

IV. Chen Guoyou was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Ecuador, replacing Wang Yulin.

V. Hu Zhangliang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Sierra Leone, replacing Wu Peng.

VI. Chao Xiaoliang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Independent State of Samoa, replacing Wang Xuefeng.
