China and Oman Hold the 7th Round of Strategic Consultations between the Two Foreign Ministries

On January 30, 2013, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun and Secretary General of Omani Foreign Ministry Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi held the 7th round of strategic consultations between the two Foreign Ministries in Muscat, capital of Oman. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Zhai said that the relationship between China and Oman has maintained the momentum of rapid development in recent years with deepening mutual political trust, fruitful pragmatic cooperation, and close cultural and educational exchanges. China is ready to further friendly relations with Oman and continue to expand areas of cooperation in order to promote the bilateral relationship to a new level.

For his part, Badr said that Oman attaches great importance to China-Oman relations and hopes to emulate China's development practices in various fields and further deepen bilateral relations.

During his visit, Zhai also met with Omar Zawawi, the Foreign Affairs Adviser to Sultan Qaboos and Honorary President of Oman-China Friendship Association.
