Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming and Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi of Oman Hold the Tenth Strategic Consultation Between the Two Foreign Ministries

On October 11, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming and Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi of Oman held the tenth strategic consultation between the two Foreign Ministries.

Zhang Ming expressed that China and Oman enjoy a solid foundation of political mutual trust and high compatibility in development strategies. China is willing to enhance bilateral cooperation in such areas as infrastructure, energy, finance and industrial parks within the framework of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges in fields including tourism and education, so as to elevate China-Oman relations to a new level.

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi stressed that attaching high attention to developing its relationship with China, Oman is ready to lift bilateral relations to a strategic partnership and sign cooperation documents regarding the joint construction of the "Belt and Road” initiative with the Chinese side at an early date, so as to boost bilateral practical cooperation in various fields.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
