On December 10, 2019, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong met with Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Omani Ambassador to China who is to leave his post.

Speaking highly of Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi's contributions to promoting China-Oman relations and the collective cooperation between China and Arab States during his tenure, Chen Xiaodong hoped that he would continue to care for and support the friendly cause between China and Oman in the future. Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi spoke highly of Oman-China relations and China's development achievements, thanked the Chinese side for its strong support for his fulfillment of duties, and expressed that he would remain committed to promoting Oman-China friendship as always.
