On April 13, 2018, Director-General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Deng Li met with President of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party and Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar of Syria, who visited China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. Both sides made in-depth exchanges of views on the situation in Syria, bilateral relations as well as other topics.
