From March 19 to 20, 2019, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Syrian Issue Xie Xiaoyan visited Russia, during which he met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov of Russia, and held a symposium with experts and scholars of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, exchanging in-depth views on the Syrian issue.
