On the afternoon of 14 November 2013, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met at the Great Hall of the People with Yemeni President Abdorabuh Mansour Hadi.

Li Keqiang said that Yemen is one of the first Arab countries to establish diplomatic relationship with the People's Republic of China. Yesterday, President Xi Jinping held fruitful talks with Mr. President. The two countries enjoy a high degree of mutual trust and mutual respect in the political field with long-term healthy development of bilateral relations. China will continue to support Yemen's efforts to safeguard stability and development and to promote the process of political transition. China is ready to work with Yemen to push forward China-Yemen relations to a new high.

Li Keqiang expressed that China is ready to unceasingly deepen and explore bilateral practical cooperation in all fields, to work out the overall plan for bilateral economic and trade cooperation by leveraging the platform of China-Yemen Joint Committee on Economic and Trade Cooperation, to continue to help Yemen train various kinds of talents and to encourage more competent and reputable Chinese businesses to conduct cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction, energy, transportation and communications in Yemen, so as to broaden financing channels and to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. Hope the Yemeni side will effectively protect the safety of Chinese nationals in Yemen.

Abdorabuh Mansour Hadi expressed that the Yemeni people hold profound friendly feelings towards the Chinese people. China has long played an important role in safeguarding regional peace and stability and promoting Yemen's economic development. Yemen is grateful for this and is ready to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China and to expand mutually beneficial cooperation so as to jointly push for greater development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side is welcomed to expand investment in Yemen and Yemen will provide all facilitations for this.
