On November 27, 2014, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met in Beijing with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manassarian of Armenia, who came to China to hold the consultation between the Foreign Ministries of China and Armenia.

Wang Yi spoke highly of China-Armenia relations and expressed his appreciation of Armenia's firm support on the issues concerning China's core interests. He said that China will support Armenia as always in taking the development path conforming to its own national conditions, and welcomes Armenia to participate in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt, so as to benefit the two peoples with more mutually beneficial and win-win results.

Manassarian said that Armenia and China have enjoyed sound political relations and achieved fruitful results in their practical cooperation. Armenia is willing to actively participate in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt, deepen the bilateral cooperation in various fields and constantly promote the Armenia-China relationship to a new level.
