On September 14, 2018, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Hanhui and Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan of Armenia held the political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing.

Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Armenia relations, cooperation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and international and regional issues of common concern. The two sides expressed that they will make joint efforts to constantly elevate China-Armenia friendly cooperative relations to new highs.
