On May 26, 2019 local time, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia met with State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Prime Minister's Office in Yerevan.

Nikol Pashinyan asked Wang Yi to convey his warm greetings to Premier Li Keqiang. He said, I just attended the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) in China, during which I reached important consensus with Chinese leaders on deepening Armenia-China relations. The Armenian side stands ready to, together with the Chinese side, ensure the implementation of those consensus, enhance high-level exchanges, deepen practical cooperation, intensify people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and push Armenia-China cooperation for more outcomes. Armenia admires China's development achievements, and is ready to learn China's development experience. The Armenian side thanks the Chinese side for its long-term assistance to Armenia's development. More Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and establish business in Armenia, and boost Armenia's development in new and high technology, infrastructure construction and other fields, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. The Armenian side firmly upholds the one-China policy, supports China's just stance and proposition on international occasions, and will continue to participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative , strengthening dialogue among different civilizations, and other important initiatives put forward by the Chinese side, so as to promote bilateral relations for greater development under the new situation.

Wang Yi conveyed Premier Li Keqiang's greetings to Nikol Pashinyan, and expressed that the Chinese side highly appreciates the Armenian side's positive attitude of attaching importance to developing its relations with China. Since the establishment of China-Armenia diplomatic relations 27 years ago, no matter which party is in power in Armenia, it has actively promoted bilateral friendly cooperation, which is an important symbol of the constantly deepened political mutual trust between the two countries. Mr. Prime Minister recently traveled to China for the CDAC, applauding mutual learning among different civilizations, which is of important practical significance at the time when the fallacy of "clash of civilizations" is brought up again by some people. Both sides should deepen practical cooperation in fields including production capacity, new and high technology, and infrastructure construction under the framework of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. The Chinese side also hopes that the Armenian side will continue to play an active role in facilitating the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union. Both sides should also strengthen cooperation in security, join forces in combating terrorism, jointly reject extremist ideology, promote dialogue and exchanges among civilizations with actions, and enhance coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs.
