On October 21, 2020, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Armenian ambassador to China Sergey Manasaryan. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.

Cheng Guoping said, the relations between China and Armenia are developing in a sound and steady manner. The two sides have maintained close high-level exchanges and achieved positive results in cooperation in various fields. China is ready to further strengthen counter-terrorism and security cooperation with Armenia, enrich the China-Armenia friendly and cooperative relations and safeguard regional security and stability.

Manasaryan said, Armenia attaches great importance to the relations with China and is willing to work with China to further deepen cooperation in various fields including counter-terrorism and security, and keep moving the bilateral relations forward. Manasaryan also briefed on the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
