Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai Visits Azerbaijan for Consultation

On August 11, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai held consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs with Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov of Azerbaijan in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Adib Sharifov of Azerbaijan met with Li Huilai and his delegation.

Both sides exchanged in-depth views on the development of China-Azerbaijan relations, promotion of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" cooperation and issues of common concern. The two sides expressed the willingness to further deepen bilateral traditional friendship, expand cooperation in economy, trade, energy, transportation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and enhance coordination and cooperation between the diplomatic departments of both countries, so as to advance China-Azerbaijan relations for continuous and forward-looking development.
