Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Meets with Charge d' affaires ad interim of the Georgian Embassy in China

On December 30, 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with charge d' affaires ad interim Archil Sokhadze of the Georgian Embassy in China who submitted the credentials for the charge d' affaires ad interim signed by Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zurabishvili, saying that Georgia attaches importance to developing relations with China and President Saakashvili personally instructed that the embassy in China should be opened as early as possible. He extended gratitude to China for its full support for the opening of the Georgian embassy in China.

Li welcomed Sokhadze to China to take charge of the opening of Georgian embassy here and his assumption of the position of Charge D' affaires Ad Interim, noting that China and Georgia enjoy friendly relations and expressing hope that the embassy can start operation at an early date so as to help promote the development of bilateral cooperation in all fields.
