On May 23, 2016, Assistant Foreign Minister Qian Hongshan attended at invitation the National Day reception held by the Georgian Embassy in China, and exchanged views on China-Georgia relations with Georgian Ambassador to China David Aptsiauri. Both sides agreed that with joint efforts of the two countries, China-Georgia relations have maintained healthy and stable development and cooperation in various fields has been constantly expanded and deepened. The two countries will strengthen cooperation in co-building the Silk Road Economic Belt, and promote negotiation on Free Trade Area, so as to continuously promote the level of bilateral relations.
