External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Meets with Kyrgyz Ambassador to China Baktygulov Kanayo Dzhumadilovna

On January 13, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Kyrgyz Ambassador to China Baktygulov Kanayo Dzhumadilovna. Both sides exchanged views on China-Kyrgyzstan relations and inter-departmental and inter-regional security cooperation between the two countries.

Cheng Guoping said that China-Kyrgyzstan relations enjoy sound momentum of growth, with close high-level exchanges and deepening mutual political trust. The two countries shared weal and woe and helped each other in face of the pandemic and achieved productive results in anti-pandemic cooperation, which fully shows the high level of China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership. Recently, the presidential election was held smoothly in Kyrgyzstan. China congratulates Mr. Sadyr Japarov on his victory in the election. China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to deepen practical cooperation in security and other fields, push ahead the construction of the inter-departmental and inter-regional mechanism, enrich the bilateral relations and safeguard regional security and stability.

Baktygulov Kanayo Dzhumadilovn said that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to its relations with China, and is always committed to promoting the development of Kyrgyzstan-China comprehensive strategic partnership. Kyrgyzstan is grateful for China's anti-pandemic assistance and hopes to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Kyrgyzstan firmly supports China in cracking down on violent and terrorist forces of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, and is ready to jointly leverage the inter-departmental and inter-regional mechanism with China, and push for further outcomes in bilateral security cooperation and practical cooperation in adjacent areas.
