On August 22, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met with Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali in Beijing.

Han Zheng said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Emomali Rahmon, China-Tajikistan relations have continuously made new progress with fruitful cooperation results in various fields. China is willing to work with Tajikistan to implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, seek greater synergy in development strategies, enhance mutual support, expand practical cooperation, deepen security cooperation and strengthen international coordination, so as to jointly safeguard the strategic security and development interests of both countries, promote greater development of China-Tajikistan relations and help the two countries achieve common development and prosperity.

Han Zheng introduced Chinese modernization and said that China sincerely welcomes Tajikistan to get on board the "express train" of China's economic development to achieve its modernization.

Rustam Emomali said that Tajikistan prioritizes relations with China in its diplomacy, regards China as a reliable partner on the international stage, and is willing to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields and push for further development of the Tajikistan-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
