On September 6, 2008, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met in the Foreign Ministry with his Micronesian counterpart Lorin Robert, who came to attend the Paralympics opening. Both sides exchanged views on China-Micronesia relations and other issues of common concern.
