From June 21 to 22, 2017, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Gong Xiaosheng visited Tunisia. During the visit, Special Envoy Gong Xiaosheng met respectively with Director General of Arab and Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Samir Koubaa of Tunisia and Director General of the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies Hatem Ben Salem, exchanging in-depth views on the situation in the Middle East and international and regional issues of common concern. H.E. Bian Yanhua, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, was present at the above event.
