Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Chengwen Visits Tunisia and Attends the 30th Arab League Summit, the China-Arab States Beidou Cooperation Forum and Entrepreneur's Meeting

From March 29 to April 4, 2019, Ambassador for China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Chengwen visited Tunisia, presented in person President Xi Jinping's congratulatory message on the convening of the 30th Arab League Summit to senior officials of Tunisia, the rotating presidency of the Council of Heads of Government of the Arab League, and attended upon invitation the 30th Arab League Summit, the second China-Arab States Beidou Cooperation Forum and the 8th Entrepreneur's Meeting and the 6th Investment Seminar.

During the visit, Ambassador Li Chengwen met with Secretary of State to the Minister for Foreign Affairs in charge of Economic Diplomacy Hatem Ferjani and Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit of the Arab League respectively, exchanging views on China-Tunisia relations, the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative by China and the Arab League, construction of the CASCF, regional situation and other topics. Ambassador Li Chengwen also delivered speeches at the opening ceremonies of China-Arab States Beidou Cooperation Forum and the Entrepreneur's Meeting, exchanged views with Executive Director of the Mediterranean Development Initiative, a Tunisian think tank, Ghazi Ben Ahmed and visited the China-Arab States BDS/GNSS Center with Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy Mohammed el-Anouar Maarouf of Tunisia.

H.E. Wang Wenbin, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, attended relevant activities.
